This is the Roman classicism route, following in the footsteps of great architect Vitruvius and the elegiac poetry of Veronese Va-lerius Catullus. The great emperors including Augustus, Claudius, Vespasian and Constantine loved this city and all enriched it with famous monuments; these traces, the patina of time, did not di-minish them but, rather, made them even more revered and fa-scinating. From the myth of the founding of the city, before our very eyes the wealthy Veronese patricians and fierce gladiators come to life, in search of redemption.
